OrbitWalker

A multi-screen Android desk for VITURE Pro 2 glasses, pinned in space.

Plug VITURE Pro 2 XR glasses into your Android phone and open up to ten apps, each on its own screen that stays put as you look around. Drive them with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. No Samsung DeX, no Shizuku, no account and no cloud: a travel workstation that fits in your pocket.

What OrbitWalker does

How it works

01

Plug in the glasses

Connect VITURE Pro 2 to your phone's USB-C port, with Samsung DeX turned off. OrbitWalker reads the glasses' motion sensors and tracks your head on the phone.

02

Set up once

Turn on Developer options, then pair OrbitWalker with Wireless debugging using the 6-digit code. Its built-in helper starts and keeps running until the phone restarts.

03

Open your apps

Add apps from the phone or from the dock in the glasses. Each opens on its own pinned screen; arrange them with your mouse or the Layout tab.

OrbitWalker FAQ

Which glasses does OrbitWalker support?

OrbitWalker is built and tested for VITURE Pro 2 XR glasses. Other VITURE models are untested; feedback from owners is welcome.

Which phones work with OrbitWalker?

Android 13 or newer phones with USB-C video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode). It is tested on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. Phones without USB-C video can use head tracking but can't show a picture in the glasses.

Is OrbitWalker a Samsung DeX alternative?

OrbitWalker gives you a multi-window desk without DeX: up to ten Android apps, each on its own screen pinned in space and head-tracked. DeX needs to be turned off so the glasses act as a plain external display.

Do I need Shizuku or root?

No root and no Shizuku. OrbitWalker has its own built-in helper, set up once through Android's Wireless debugging, and it keeps running until the phone restarts. On Samsung phones the app guides you to turn off Auto Blocker for a moment.

Can I use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse?

Yes. A Bluetooth keyboard and mouse drive the glasses directly: click, drag, scroll, right-click for Back and type in every app, passwords included. Ctrl+Esc gives them back to the phone.

Can I watch Netflix in the glasses?

Yes. Cinema mode plays Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and other protected video directly on the glasses, with play, pause and seek from the phone.

Is OrbitWalker free and private?

OrbitWalker is free and open source under the Apache-2.0 licence. It has no accounts, analytics, ads or cloud: everything runs on your phone.

How do I install OrbitWalker?

Download the APK from GitHub Releases on your Android 13+ phone, open it to install, then follow Set up in the app: Developer options, a one-time Wireless-debugging pairing and, on Samsung, Auto Blocker. No Shizuku, root or account is needed.

Part of the Orbit family

OrbitWalker is the first of the Orbit Apps: open-source, local-first apps that keep affordable smart hardware, and your data, out of someone else's cloud.
